Export Document Certification

The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal (BTMM) has been certifying a variety of documents including certificates of origin for many years.

In order to ensure that our stamps are used in an appropriate way and to reaffirm the fact that the BTMM can not be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided on certificates of origin and other documents, we request that these documents be notarized before they are signed by the BTMM.

The BTMM allows companies that are frequent users of our service to place a Letter of waiver on file which replaces the need to notarize each and every certificate of origin that you present to us.

• Letter of waiver - Forwarders (PDF): certifies that the declarations of origin and/or prices made by the BTMM relating to export shipments made by the company will be upheld by the company. Annexe C)
• Letter of waiver - Exporting companies and individuals (PDF): certifies that the declarations of origin and/or prices made by the BTMM relating to export shipments made by the company will be upheld by the company. (Annexe B)
• Example of certificate of origin (PDF): indicates how to fill out the document. (Annexe A)
• Certificate of origin (PDF): empty certificate of origin that may be used by client.
• Price list (PDF): price list for members and non-members of the BTMM for the service of document certification.
